wow, he turn out to be a fine looking young manwoman...

:P

:lol: Mark, it's funny you should post that. My son has always had "softer" features. Paired with his long hair, we've had several encounters where he'd been referred to as as "young lady", "ma'am" and even "princess" (when we went to Disney World) :lol:. They only realize their mistake when he speaks as he has a very low and deep voice. Luckily, my son is pretty confident in who he is that he doesn't mind and just laughs it off.

Ahahaha, time is really slipping so fast.

Happy birthday to him, I'm so jealous that he's going to drive at earlier age than me! :)

Thanks! I am too! I didn't learn to drive until I got here ;) . So he's driving a lot of years earlier than me!!

Happy birthday to him Xenia, he is a nice looking young man.

Thank you Sabine! He's not only nice looking, he's also a good son. He's the most wonderful gift that God has blessed me with (followed closely by my husband, of course).

Oh! Babies growing up! :crying::lol:

I understand! My boy turned 19 in June and then ran off to college!! The NERVE!!

He has what other people have described as 'fine' features. When he was marching in high school, there was a girl who also played the trombone. She was just a wee bit shorter than Zach. It WAS difficult to tell them apart on the field, even from the sidelines, because of his small jaw line and chiseled nose.

Yeah, they are always your baby. But being a good parent means letting them go - when you see them soar, you know you've done good.

Happy 16th Birthday to you both.

No permit yet, THANK GOD. He will turn 15 on Feb. 20th, I guess he can get it then.

In California, we had to have Driver's Ed first, but here in Oregon they don't even OFFER it in the schools. Weird!

That is weird. Here in NC they offer Driver's Ed in the schools. In fact, the graduated NCDL is very closely tied to a child's performance in school. They can take away a child's driving permit/ DL if he/she fails a certain number of classes or drops out of school (as long as he/she is under 18).
