I hope you have a great trip, Iriecat! It'll hopefully not be too sad when you part as you know your man will be right behind you! :D

I hope that the first January filer to be approved at their interview tells us, and perhaps then we can start a January filers in America thread in the Moving Here and Your New Life In America forum?

Hi Racheal missed you on the boards the last few days, hope everything is well with you.

I think thats a great idea to set up a new topic, it looks like Dawn and Darren are going to be first to complete the interview stage.

I did, thank you :) Got to walk the dogs and have a couple of very good chats with my parents; also sorted out a few wedding details!

I tell you, she'll never stop munching...

Hello everyone! It sounds like things have been pretty ho-hum the past week. Dawn & Susie - so glad to hear you were able to see your SOs! Irie - I'm with you girl, I see Aidan for a week at the end of this month and we are both counting down the days.

Work has been killing me with the April 15th deadline (tax accountant) and I am counting down the days (literally) until next Tuesday...make that hours! It has been hard to check in on you guys but I promise to be back in action come next week. A few updates on my end...we finally sent Packet 3 back to the Dublin embassy. I had been working in London when Aidan received it and wanted to fill the forms out online instead of by hand since he does not have very neat handwriting, which held us up until I got back to the states. He has scheduled his medical for next Monday so now we just wait for our interview.

I am secretly hoping they will schedule his interview for when I am but we will see how it goes. I have no idea how fast the Dublin embassy works. I get the impression there aren't too many Irish looking to leave the homeland so maybe I will get lucky!

I have mom and the bridesmaids coming down to Fort Lauderdale this weekend (including my BFF from England) to do our dress shopping for the wedding. I think this is when it's really going to feel real. Hope you all have a great day and I hope our CSC filers starting hearing good news soon!

Whoever is first, I can't wait to see the January 08 filers thread on the Moving Here and Your New Life In America forum!!!

Definitely agreed ... Wasn't trying to make any sore spots about who has their interview first, I'm just excited to see that those of us who filed in January are starting to have interviews!!!

It's not been as long as probably most of us had thought, but I'm grateful to be in the same month as all of you. I've been overwhelmed numerous times by the care & support offered amongst us. It's a blessing to be able to share this process with people who understand.

Best wishes to everyone who has their interviews coming up this month!!!! I'm already on pins and needles about getting the interview date. As for Stephen, he got 3 "jabs" today at the doctor ... boosters to catch up on vaccinations. He's got two more he has to get, but the doc said to come back in 3 weeks for those. And he's just downright worried about having this interview ... he went into a panic when he got the envelope I sent him with all the Packet 3 documents, so I can only imagine how he's going to be the day before the interview

And I know we'll all be watching for that new thread .... it's an exciting time for all of us!!!! :star:
