I'm not showing up on the VSC list from the report above...and when I do a search of K1 visa times for VSC, again nothing shows up as pending for Ireland. Wonder why that is???

The link mox gave (Igor's list.) is the page for CSC. on top of the page is the link for VSC, and I believe you are on it:

Well, I do remember reading that a US - Cuban couple was approved 1 week after they sent their petition at the beginning of Junuary. Apparently, when you're from Cuba that goes a lot faster! Maybe the second couple was from Cuba too ?

Cuba's a special case since we do not have an embassy there - the Swiss embassy serves as charge-de-affairs in Cuba. I've read about other Cuban citizens being processed here and all have worked outside the normal timelines.

i am so silly.. i been worrying sick about NOA1 cus i assumed it is a huge package. filed 129F at 24th January, received "receipt notice" on 28th, January. been waiting, rushing to mailbox everyday, disappointed ...................x 14 days. i didnt thought it is NOA1 becus from what i see on ppl time line they wrote 129F receiced, so i thought that was just a receipt from CIS, n plus i sent it to the California center i expected a longer time. the status online is always pending, not like other ppl that hv "touches"....

n tonight i found out that receipt noice IS NOA1!!!!???????

m i correct on this?? i m still not so sure tho.!

The date that the service center receives the application and the date you ultimately see on the NOA1 may be different, however. I sent mine on the 25th and the file was physically received by the center on the monday the 28th. When the NOA1 physically arrived from the processing center it was dated the 29th. When you receive the one page official document in the mail (I-751 I think) that will have your date on it. If you haven't received official notification from the service center, you can always get your case # off of the back of your check if it has been cashed, set up an account at UCIS, and it will also give you a NOA1 date. That way you'll also be able to see touches when they occur.

And So It Begins......

That explains it . I'm learning new things, thank you.

Does that mean they would need to vie for interview schedule with people from switzerland or other countries that don't have embassy also? Coz if you'd look at the first couple, their interview date is 5months after the NOA2.. that is awfully long (though, at least they do have interview schedule already)
