OUR CHECK WAS CASHED ALREADY!!! WOOHOOO!!! and my big bear received the USPS returned receipt also... i was just wondering why usps online tracking said our file was delivered Jan. 31 while the returned receipt had Feb. 1 as received date stamped on it?

BTW guys, this will probably sound like a very stupid question but how did you get your canceled check with receipt number back?

I think for most on this board they looked up their canceled check online. On the back where the service center endorses your check should be a case number with letters & numbers.

I know I'm coming late into this topic, but you're not alone. I filed January 23rd, received NOA1 after about 1 week, dated January 25th.

SO got the receipt number! we've finally registered on https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/logoff.do Online case status says they issued NOA1 February 4, we're still waiting for the hard copy... hopefully NOA2 will follow not too long down the road.

Now, where's my diet popcorns and diet pepsi cans??? Need to stock up so i could munch while stalking our case status online 24/7 till we get our NOA2 (sitting on a comfy metallic hot pink bean bag while staring on the pc monitor like a hypnotized looney ... pop corns and chocolate bars and all kinds of junk foods scattered all around-- IM REALLY IN THIS FOR THE LONG HAUL! ) Common VSC, don't let me grow roots and leaves and fruits here. .

Hey, who wants to have popcorns? there's also several extra couches if you want to sit beside me so we could all stalk USCIS online case status service together.

Welcome, it's never too late to join this thread. The exciting news is that timelines are starting to shorten since the service centers have gotten through most of last July's filings. I've heard the process is somewhat difficult for HCM city so I wish you good fortune and a quick journey.

Historically, VSC is faster than CSC. But at the rate the 2 service centers are going, as long as no one will get RFE, we would all get our NOA2 earlier than the VJ estimated adjudication date no matter where we filed.

Cheer up guys, our time will come. For USC, you only have a few months more to prepare for your SO's arrival.. and for the alien fiancee/fiance (like me) there's few months left to enjoy my time with my family and my friends here. Time moves fast, and before we know it, we will all be saying "I do's" with our SO already.

Oh golly! It means, i only have few months left to lose weight... need to shed this 500pounds i gained waiting for NOA1
