Hi,

Just wanted to start a special topic for the VSC.

It is not the worst regarding the processing time... but not the best either.

Sent N400 on 11/19/07

Received at the VSC 11/22/07

Priority date 11/23/07

Check cashed 12/20/07

Notice from the VSC 12/26/07

Now if some of you have info regarding the waiting time for the NY office to receive the Bio and interview letter, that would be greatly appreciated. Also do we get sworn the same day? if not how long do we have to wait?

My experience is that it depends a lot on your application and background, I have been pretty lucky in the past with my GC filing... so I hope for the best.

For those who did not received their notice check the Latest Receipt Situations at Service Centers:

http://myimmigrationblog.com/

Hope it will help some of you stuck with the EVIL VSC

Bye!

Regarding the USCIS Case status, they said it wont be available, but some people on forums said it took them more than a month to update it. I have the same problem, they said my case cannot be retrieve. We have to be patient for that too

For the 540 days, it is the maximum time it may take...meaning if after 540 days we didnt get our bio and interview we have ground to make some noise.

Let's hope that my guess for the process time (7 months) is right.

:help: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE anybody with info on how long it takes for n400 filers after july with the NY office??? :help:

hello again and you're welcome. I already completed my biometrics december, 18 2007 and my NOA states I should be notified within 180 days from its date. There was a huge backlog in july due to the increased new fees, so it catches up with anyone sooner or later. It took them forever to cash my check and issue a NOA/bio appt letter whilst it was faster for later filers than me, but it seems like my notification period is significantly shorter....Looks like if it's slower in the beginning it's faster later on and the other way around.

And hopefully you're right and I'll be done soon  Regardless I don't get my hopes up...I'll keep you posted.

Good luck !
