My husband is in law enforcement (I'm covered under his heath insurance plan) and for my(K3) medical appointment, the clinic in South Carolina informed us that I would not be covered because it's meant for migration purposes. He thinks differently and is going to try anyway. My question is if there are anyone else who have used their health insurance to cover the costs of the check up? Second question: I am supposed to go for 2 appointments with the clinic, one to 'discuss immunizations' and the other for the actual checkup. Is this the norm? Last question: Other that the immunization issue and the x-ray, what else does the physical check-up entail? Any experiences especially from women?

Thanks

Susan

Your health insurance might cover a physical exam, but I doubt they will cover the immigration physical and required forms that are to be filled out by a doctor. Usually a doctor's office charges extra to have a doctor fill out forms.

You only need foreign vaccination record transcribed to a vaccination supplement, if medical for K-3 visa was less than a year ago.

This is one of the most talked about subject on VJ, search for "I-693A" on this site.
