It's fun throwing sand in the face of the big kid on the block and running away. Can't begrudge 'em for trying, I suppose. I just hope they don't do it too often cuz I don't think they can handle the blowback.

Would it be seen as the same if some other country was patroling international waters... just off the Florida Straits? I think we'd probably send more than just fast boats IMHO.

international waters - not a big deal is it?

Not to me... although the US Military took offense apparently. Maybe its international waters to some but a backyard to others...

i doubt the usa would get as wound up about it as the iranians have.

My thought goes to what the OP article states as concerning and going into defensive modes... but maybe I just read what I read. Maybe they should just hire you as a spokesperson instead and then expect a fly-swatter during press conferences in response to annoyances like these.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

And as per the though experiment... well... there are warhawks that want nothing to do with others' snooping too close to our land like we do to them. I guess it depends on whom is in power.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

or maybe you can quit getting bent out of shape about it all?

warships.....that is what they are bothering. and fresh in everyone's mind is the uss cole. zipping around us warships in similar boats is suicidal.

i do tend to wonder if the speedboat crews have their life insurance fully paid.

lol...but not troops

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I thought I said it didn't phase me earlier... oh well. I guess thinking things through can be misconstrued as getting worked up now. If loonies with single engine speedies want to challenge a US Destroyer, or even let alone a PT boat then hey... go for it but prepare to kis your @ss goodbye!

We can also go back to '87 and remember the USS Stark. Curiously wasn't the plane that fired its missiles Iraqi?... from an allied country at the time... oh well... that wasn't really something people got worked up about other than the litany of press releases and media lists of the poor sailors that perished that day. And that was about it.

true, no comparison there. which is why there is recollection about an actual act of war against us that resulted in no official retaliation... yet they talk about concern and defensive pose in sight of these pesky speed rafts. the OP article says it, not me.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
