Because being engaged apart sucks but being married and apart truly sucks!

True story.

The K-1 has always been the quicker method. The 90 day requirement can sometimes be confining but a time limit needed to be set. The great thing about the fiancee visa is it allows your intended spouse to come to your country and get to know it and you a little better. Although most of us in America think this is the greatest place in the world, not everyone falls in love with it. And, sometimes the fiancee is so unprepared for the changes that they become uncomfortable and need to return home.

Whatever your reason might be for choosing a particular type of visa, the ultimate goal is to be with the one you love and be happily married.
