well i got married in nanning china in august.after months of trying to get documents, and my forms filled out its finally done.i sent them in a little over 2 weeks ago to the neberaska office.i have heard nothing as of yet.but really the only question i have is what should i look out for,are there going to be any surprises.i had professional help filling out the forms so im pretty sure they were all in order.my wifes english is fair and she is attending english classes 3 times a week.we also practice on yahoo messenger every night for about 2 hours, haha she sounds more like me every day,im not sure thats a good thing but none the less her english is definitely improved.if anyone has any information for me or knows anything about the process that i would be likely to overlook, feel free to reply.at this juncture i will take any assistance i can get.thank you all.

Nebraska will probbably forward the case to Chicago, since last fall I-130 gets sent to the national PO BOX. SEE "Where to File:" http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

It is taking a long time for USCIS to send out receipts since the petition flood last summer.

finally, since you will be dealing with the consulate in Guangzhou China, I highly recommend you join and participate in the immigrations site that specializes in Chinese immigrations issues. "A Candle for Love" No other site can prepare you for the daunting interview at that consulate.

Welcome to another Nanning husband. Unfortunately, as Dan says, your professional help had you send your petition or petitions to the wrong service center but I doubt that will add more than a month to your timeline. Time to start building your evidence of a bona fide relationship and prepare for the next step. Lots of China support on Candle.
