FYI: Filipina/o who is an active member of PAGIBIG Fund in the philippines and plans to migrate to other countries can withdraw his/her contributions. Don't just leave the country with your money invested for many years go to other people's hands. You can use the money that you can get from PAGIBIG to buy things to take with you or you can just leave the money to your family :)

This is the addy ...http://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/mt_fac.htm#withdraw

I just don't know with Social Security System (SSS) if they also have this kind of service.

Hello,

I have talked to my friend who will be leaving tomorrow under k1 visa too..She said the office needs a copy of permanent departure order. So, she was advised to wait until she will be a US Citizen!

girls, i just called the Pag-Ibig Branch here in Makati. I talked to a nice kuya who sounds gay...hehe!

well, he told me that we cannot withdraw our contributions if we are under K Visas since our visa classification is still non-immigrant. however, after we received our greencard in the future, by that time, we can now withdraw our contribution to them.

now, in case that you will stop paying your contribution to them, your capital contribution will still earn dividends that will added to your account and will still be activate after several years and can still be withdrawn if you already have your green card or citizenship from other country.

so, we have nothing to worry about our funds with pag-ibig in the future. but the thing is, we cannot withdraw it before we leave for our shopping galore... hahaha!!!

hope this helps...

Actually may nag post nang requirements for withdrawal nang pag-ibig dito sa Visajourney last year. Hindi ko lang sya mahanap.

The main requirement is the residency or green card. I have been searching from the previous post, pero hindi ko mahanap.

It was quite a long list. Pero puede talaga ma withdraw.

We just had a session with PAG-IBIG at work and they said you can actually withdraw by just telling them you opt to withdraw on personal choice. I am planning to take mine out before I leave Pinas.
