Hello All,

I'm new to this site, and am so glad it exists!

I have a concern. :unsure: My fiance and I filed for the I129F in nov. 2007. I am concerned about my financial background. I am aware that a co-sponsor can be used, and I do have one, but I am scared that I can still be denied because I did not make a lot of money this year (I was in college), and now only have a part-time job (working 35 hrs a week). I know it would look better to be full-time, however I need a part-time (flexible) label at the job due to my traveling every so often from pursuing a singing career. Any suggestions or info I can use to calm my fears?

If your co-sponsor easily meets the requirements, I believe you are fine. Lots of people have been in similar (usually worse) scenarios and had no problem with a co-sponsor.

we are planning to use my fiance's dad as a co-sponser (and he makes over 100k/year) so im hoping they'll accept it too since my fiance is a college student.

If you use a co-sponsor you have nothing to worry about.

If you don't use a sponsor it depends on your particular case and your ability to clearly demonstrate your finances. I did my husbands K1 and AOS as a grad student without a sponsor.
