Hi am new to this board I have been reading it for sometime now and have found the information provided to be very helpful I have a few questions to ask

1) received date 3/21/06

Notice date 3/22/06

Last update 3/28/06

Should I start worrying since my case has not been touched again?

2) Anyone know what they actually do or check at USCIS?

Welcome to VJ. Yes, try a timeline search on VSC to see what others have been experiencing. It will at least give you a feel for how long the approval takes. Good luck

Best advice you can get! Dont start stressing too soon, or else you will lose ur sanity long before this journey is over.....

I learned the hard way that you should not compare your case/timeline to others. some go through Vermont in 5 days some 5 weeks some 5 months. It took us 90 days to get our noa2-very unusual for VSC but it does happen. You should be very thankful that you are not going through some of the other centers(God bless those people) because they wait for a ridiculous amount of time! Your petition was rec'd 3/21 look at some people who are still waiting for a response to petitions rec'd Dec 05'

You can't do anything until they are proessing cases 30 days after your receipt date.

Best advice given to me here on VJ............................be patient, this is only the beginning!!!!

We are pretty much so in the same boat... noa1 on 3/28/06, havent heard or been touched since, although others from vermont have noa1 and 2's before and after are times, I must say it does suck when you see others that breeze threw in a few days with the noa1' and 2's but its just how it is and i wish them the best in there process... I dont mean to sound like a hater or anything, just seeing it sucks when your waiting..

So just try to be patient as i am... And be thankful we are using Vermont and not one of the other service centers, We are the Lucky ones........I dont even want to think of what it would be like to have to go threw the k1 process using any other service center other than vermont!!
