Monsters yes - but still human beings.

...that are very dangerous to others, have no morals, no sense of what's right or wrong, and so they have no place in society

Saludos,

Caro

I don't think anyone's denying that. But "having no place in society" is open to degress of interpretation.

Good ... then they can live in your house ... your responsibility.

Typical. What does that have anything to do with what I wrote?

Typical ... non answer ....

Well there wasn't really a question there was there. How's about I ask you why it is that you don't run your own concentration camp so you can abuse/torture/kill the people you don't like? In other words

"Good... then you can kill them... your responsibility"

All I object to is the sadistic rhetoric, but if you want to defend that in lieu of actually having a point - then by all means go ahead. Personally I think it makes you look a bit of a #######.

Come on guys... we are here to support each other and not to make silly attacks on each other. Thanks :).

What if we spent just half the energy we spend on being outraged by such heinous acts on actually finding ways to prevent child abuse? Some people's heads would implode.

Yeah, cos we'd all rather be outraged and see children get abused.

Biggest.crock.of.sh!t.ever. But then again, I'm not at all surprised.

Put that energy to good use. Help prevent child abuse.

Your list below is things to do for parents to do with their own children to prevent the parents stepping over the line...and I wouldn't even say it's entirely germane to child sexual abuse, which is what this thread is about. If you believe you've found a way for society to prevent CSA, then by all means share that with us!

Your implication that people would rather b!tch and have kids be abused instead of preventing it is so insulting I can't even believe it. And your advice below is #######. But then again, as I said before, I shouldn't be so surprised.

Ways to Prevent Child Abuse

Be a nurturing parent.

Children need to know that they are special, loved and capable of following their dreams.

Help a friend, neighbor or relative.

Being a parent isn’t easy. Offer a helping hand take care of the children, so the parent(s) can rest or spend time together.

Help yourself.

When the big and little problems of your everyday life pile up to the point you feel

overwhelmed and out of control - take time out. Don’t take it out on your kid.

If your baby cries…

It can be frustrating to hear your baby cry. Learn what to do if your baby won’t stop

crying. Never shake a baby - shaking a child may result in severe injury or death.

Get involved.

Ask your community leaders, clergy, library and schools to develop services to meet the needs of healthy children and families.

Help to develop parenting resources at your local library.

Promote programs in school.

Teaching children, parents and teachers prevention strategies can help to keep children safe.

Monitor your child’s television and video viewing.

Watching violent films and TV programs can harm young children.

Volunteer at a local child abuse prevention program.

Report suspected abuse or neglect.

If you have reason to believe a child has been or may be harmed, call your local department of children and family services or you local police department.

Sure it is. Look at the statistics. Child abuse is child abuse. If you really care that much about it, you can help do something to prevent it. Children need nurture and support, not just from parents, but from teachers, neighbors, extended family. Volunteer to be a Big Sister or volunteer your time at a local Boys and Girls Club. By being around these children, you just may see the signs of sexual abuse and stop it.

I'm sorry that you think that advice is #######, but that's what the child abuse prevention organizations are saying. Take that outrage and put it to good use. You may save a life.

Your list had nothing to do with the list you wrote above. And catching it out doesn't mean prevention.

I can't change the world's problems. I am passionate about many things, and there's simply not enough time in my day to go volunteering 24/7. To say that I can't feel outrage that a father molested his 2 year old daughter as a 'passive aggressive' means of showing his anger towards his wife is LUDICROUS. To imply that 'people' would RATHER the kid got molested so 'people' can feel outrage is BEYOND preposterous. You really ought to apologize for being so absolutely insulting...quite frankly, that was the most appalling thing I've ever seen you write.

Your right, Lisa. Let me start over again. I will never deviate from another thread's original intention. I will stay with the task at hand.

"That sick f#ck! I'd shoot his balls off and stuff him in his mouth!"

I feel better now.

Being indignantly defensive will get you nowhere. Grow up, would you?

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

You're absolutely right. Please forgive my appallingness and my lack of maturity.

Why are you derailing this conversation with these antics? Either you want to be part of this discussion, or you want to be the court jester.

What were we talking about? How appalling my post was, child abuse, or how outraged we should all be over the case of this OT. Sorry, I got lost in the shuffle.

Outrage is all well and good - but few people it seems want to actually tackle the subject in a serious way that doesn't go beyond "what they'd like to do if they had 5 minutes alone in a room".

Anyone want to start a 'proper' discussion?
