I understand I should have pity for them but for some reason I don't. I'm sorry :(

You savages! So many people need organs, people die waiting for transplants, and you just want to waste the guy? :P

Aim for the arms only! They use the long bones, saphenous veins, and skin of the legs for transplant. Those two legs could help a lot of people.

He needs to die.

throw him in gen pop.

I take him to the range for target practice.

I promise to only shoot him in the arms and legs until dead.

Inside the Sex Offenders' House on Long Island

From New York magazine. Pretty interesting article on this subject.

Yes that is interesting - though its hard to read about those people without a great deal of ambivalence.

Ambivalence? I thought it was about the negative effects of not killin' em and killin' em good.

Just seems like you're the first person on this thread to mention any sort of complicated emotions about those people at all.

I don't get why people insist on expressing the idea that its somehow their place to take violent revenge for crimes that have nothing to do with them and which they have no investment in.

Making a case that child-rape should be a capital offence would be one thing (perhaps it should - but for my part I'm uneasy with the death penalty in general) - but noone seems to want to touch that, but rather the person should be stabbed, shot or otherwise buggered to death.

Then again its not the first time. Nor I suspect will the responses to these posts differ much from the norm. Between you and me - that's probably why threads like these don't have much mileage these days.

Exactly my guess. And thank god they don't have much mileage these days. I don't like seeing that side of human nature at all!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
