I found some of these pictures (photos) of the Montreal USEM in various of topics within VJ and thought it would be a good idea to put all them together under one location.

The consulate itself is located on the corner of Rue St-Alexandre and Blvd. Rene Levesque. The actual entrance is on Rue St-Alexandre.

oh the memories!! nice pics

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

It was the least I could do to contribute my part here in VJ but that's nothing compare to some of these regular VJers who are still around after their visa been approved some time ago and yet still stick around to help us out.

Beside I've been twiddling my thumbs, trying not to go mad on waiting for the next step from NVC and Vancouver/Montreal USEM. My NVC I-130 case was completed on Dec 16th but received a I-129F transfer notice to Vancouver USEM for K3 on Dec 19th and it was just before the holidays! Arrghhh.... :(

Right now, I haven't get receive any I-129f termination notice even though my I-130 was approved first before I-129f. I know the pros of going through the Cr1 route (get gc in one shot, save $1k, etc) but its more important for me to be with my family than getting green card. Whatever get me in the states legally quicker, I'll take it!

But going back to what I did, I can understand how other people might feel the same way, "okay whats next?... I've waited upted dumtie number of months to get this point and the end is near... whoohoo...oh #######...do I have everything I need for the interview? what to bring? where is it? I dont want to get lost.. I'm already stressed enough as it is!!!! :help::help::help: "...

:)

i cant find any either :(

I think there must be a reason for that, try finding a picture of say the National Visa Center.

Bear I'm glad you found those pics. I forgot what the place actually looked like without that pesky white stuff. It looks kind of nice in a monolithic, lick-our-boots-maggot kind of way.

The NVC? Why would you want photos of that place. It housed in some guy's basement, next to a pingpong table and a old couch.

BTW, here's an unretouched photo of Krikit.
