Happy New Year to all you guys!!!

Recently I got my case# assigned and I would like to be prepared in advance if its possible so I would like to ask which form apply for me as a sponsor. I am the petitioner, I have only my husband on the petiton and also I dont have any sponsors for it, this is what is applying on the I-864EZ. So, my question is do I have to fill that form or I-864 OR just to wait untill I receive letter from the NVC with next step instructions? Any suggestion will be more then wellcomed

Thanks in advance!!! :)

Hi Dani!

We are in the same situation. My USC husband was the I-130 petitioner and will be the sole sponsor for my immigrant visa and I am the only intended immigrant. To be honest, I did not even consider using the I-864EZ until I saw your post. Under the FAQ section on the NVS's website, there is a question "When does the NVC send instructions about the I-864, I-864W, I-864EZ and I-864A?" to which the answer is "After the Affidavit of Support bill has been paid, the NVC will send instructions to the petitioner". Given that the DS3032 track is supposed to take slightly longer than the AOS track, I suppose there is time to wait for the NVC's instructions. However, I will probably go ahead and submit the I-864EZ as soon as I find out that the AOS has been generated by the NVC.

Not sure if anyone else in this forum has an experience with the I-864EZ to share?

First you will get the bill for the Affidavit of Suport for $70 The I864EZ is for those who meet the minimum income level on only salary and not having to use assets. Whichever form you will need, you can download it ahead of time and have it ready to go as soon as you get the barcode. The same for your spouse for the DS-3032. Once the DS-3032 is returned, then you'll get the $400 bill for the visa.

Hi,

My husband (USC) started working fulltime 2 years ago and before that, he was still in college, i.e. he was dependent. So, basically he started to be above the poverty line since the last 2 years, and before that when he was in college, i.e he was dependent. So should we find a joint-sponsor? Or can we just go ahead and use the I-864EZ form?

Thanks in advance.
