hi!

it's me again. i just wanted a bit of advice with regards to my k1 application.

the thing is, i'm of course filing for my young son to be with us in America.

he's four years old and his father and myself were never married, although he has his father's name.

what i need to know is if this will be an issue with regards to my visa?

his father is totally fine and 100% behind me and my partner, and will cause no problems, as we split up over 2 years ago.

will i need some kind of documentation from him stating this when it comes to my interview?

has anyone been in this situation?

any help as always, greatly appreciated!

happy new year!!

Many people are in your situation

A notarised document giving his permission to the relocation will be required at the interview

It will also need to be notarised, you can get that done at a solicitors office. Your sons father will need to sign it in front of the notary.
