My timeline as below:

My fiancee applied for K1 on July 10th, 2007 to CSC.

My NOA2 was mailed on 19th December, 2007.

NVC yet to receive my case.

Interview Consulate New Delhi India.

Next week, my office is going to file B1 for me at Chennai Indian Consulate. Since anyway I am there, can I finish my K1 medicals at any of the approved doctors/lab mentioned in Chennai Indian Consulate website? Since the Interview region requested in 129F is New Delhi, would they accept these medicals done at Chennai? Also I don't know my NVC case number. All I have is WAC* issued by USCIS. How to go about it?

Thanks

Yes, though you may want to hold and do them just before the K-1 interview.

Later in the USA when adjusting status from the K-1, if the medical for visa is more than a year old you would need to get another medical done for AOS. If visa medical is less than a year old you will only need to get vaccination supplement done.

Thanks yuanddan. In that case can I go ahead with vaccinations and leave the rest of the medicals till I get the k-1 interview date?
Good idea, keep the vaccination record safe and bring it to USA for later use for AOS.

Required vaccinations for most in our age group are:

  • Mumps, Measles, Rubella (MMR)
  • Tetanus and diptheria toxoids
  • Varicella

Consulate website (New Delhi) links the vaccination requirements to the stage.gov URL

(http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1331.html) where the following list is given

-- mumps

-- measles

-- rubella

-- polio

-- tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

-- pertussis

-- influenzae type b (Hib)

-- hepatitis B

-- varicella

-- pneumococcal and

-- influenza.

I have the following questions on this:

1) Some of them have already been done when I was a kid, but I don't have any medical records. What to do now?

2) For the rest, should I get vaccinations only from the approved panel listed in the website or can be done through any local facility?

Thanks
