i read your story yesterday. did you by any chance have an account where you can review the status of your case online?

Yuppers. To this day it still says they "sent us a notice on July 2, 2007 explaning how our case would be processed, blah blah blah", which was NOA1. It was last updated 12/31 and shows the same canned paragraph, with no indication of an RFE or denial. B@stards.

Update on the atty thing. Hubster has decided he does not feel comfortable with the probono advice. And since Ive never dealt with one I cant advise for or against. He feels we would get better results by paying someone so we've got an appointment with a local immigration atty on Tuesday. Thanks to our lovely copy of the Muslim Yellow Pages it was pretty easy to find someone who deals with our type of case. I love that book

I also told my mommy what mean ol USCIS did to us and boy is she mad! Turns out she's got a friend who's a congressman and is going to see if some strings can be yanked. Daddy's on the warpath too. He's making noises about alerting the local news stations (all 4 of them). Take that USCIS!!!! I told my mommy on you! And just you wait 'till my father gets home, you're gonna get a whoopin!

You always crack me up, girl -- you have a wonderful sense of humor and a great ability to put it in words !

Goin to get my eyes checked at noon today. I HATE getting new glasses & contacts and always wait till the last possible minute to do so. Well, last night, hubby sat on my glasses. I have a ton of contacts left, but I really like to take my contacts out while at home and veg in my glasses. My husband didn't understand why I had to have them now since I just look at the computer and T.V at home. Uhhhhh honey.....I CAN'T SEE EITHER OF THEM WITHOUT MY GLASSES! He's wanting me to get laser surgery (ME TOO!), but I'm thinking your eyes can't change for a certain amount of time before they'll do it. So....I'm off to get some sassy eyewear!

What do you mean? My eyes got progressively worse every year and my contacts kept getting stronger and stronger. I had Lasik done and I'm so happy that I did.

Maybe I'm hitting the hooka too much (Kidding) but I could've swore the last time I saw my eye doctor he told me my eye prescription had to be stable for a while. I'll ask him when I see him shortly. Lasix would be so much cheaper in the long run.

Hahaha yeah you should definitely ask him. When I had my consult they told me that he couldn't guarantee 20/20 because my astigmatism and eyesight was so poor but I'm 20/20 now and it's so nice not to have to buy lenses. I was spending 200 every 6 months on toric lenses and it's so worth it in the long run! I

Today I have to do my employee self-assessment. I think that might be my least favorite thing to do ever.

Omg I hate those...we start our process next month. I don't know what is worse, writing my own review or reviewing my employees reviews.

The wind is howling outside! We've got a three day snow storm in the forcast coming in. That's all I need when taking the roads back to Moscow and going over White Bird Pass. Yikes!

Thanks I will. I don't remember the last time we had such a bad storm. The one thing that really freaks me out is this really tall palm tree that is close to my house. It seems so skinny and unstable sometimes. I hope it doesnt break.

I'm in Nor Cal too. It was a crazy drive into work this morning. My little car was being blown all over the road. These are days that I miss my big heavy SUV. I want this storm to pass soon. I also don't want it snowing at my house. My car is AWD but I hate driving in it. Good thing I went to IKEA and got some projects around the house because I doubt I'll be going outside in this weather.

I am sitting here at my desk and watching the wind blow and rain and through the vents the howling, I had to lock the front door cause the wind was blowing it open. I am in Central California and wow it is windy. I understand when you said it was freaking you out me too.

So glad that it is friday and I can go home after work and stay there until I have to come back to work on Monday, pray that Hasan won't have to work tomorrow.
