Freezing Friday!!

Well I started my Friday with getting my coffee mug out of my car and having to thaw it out I dont think I can take another winter!

Good morning everyone! I guess we finally sent the cold weather somewhere else because today it's supposed to be a whooping 40 degrees! Bring out the tank tops! It's a heatwave!

I found out yesterday that the dudes at the Nissan dealers are IDIOTS!!!! I got my car back in June and had my last oil change in October. Well, when the weather was super cold, my wiper fluid wouldn't work! I'm had a few cars and this has never happened with my other cars. So I called a friend that works there. He tells me that supposedly someone was putting the wrong type of washer fluid in cars....yeah the type that will freeze. So.....the pump thingy in my car blew up....and yeah....they "think" I'm paying for another one! HA HA! They don't know me well do they? So I get to go argue with the manager today so I can get me a new pump thingy. DORKS! I think I need to go back to changing the oil and car fluids myself.

during late summer i switch the vehicles over to that orange stuff you get at wal-mart because it has a lower freezing temp than the blue stuff.

I can relate to the frozen coffee cup Maureen but in my car was a frozen diet coke in a cup that leaked all over when it thawed out in the cup holder thingy and splattered all over the place when I went to pick it up. lol.

Aymerlu I hate it when they don't put the kind that doesn't freeze in my window washer thing!!! Give 'em hell!!!

Going for bloodtests and a chest x ray in a few. Whoo hooo. Glad it's work from home day! Just finished my apple fritter and caramel macciato latte but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell the peeps in the diet thread!!!! I need to keep up my lovely marshmallow man figure

remains to be seen if above freezing. i'm getting awfully tired of seeing snow now for more than 3 weeks.

This weekend is supposed to be in the 60s! yay!

Aymerlu-- I hate car dealerships! I once made the mistake of going to look at cars when they were still open. I was going car to car, looking at the inside and looking at sales, and looking for a standard transmission. I had this one guy start to follow me around and I said I didn't need help. He kept badgering me, and finally I mentioned I was looking for a standard transmission. He asked me if that was really what i wanted or if I meant the one that "shifts for you." I was like no, I didn't say automatic, did I. He said he understood that it "looked cool" but he felt I was better suited to an automatic. I was steaming mad at that point because he was bugging the cr*p out of me anyway, and then he had the gaul to ask me if I could even drive one. I said "yep! it's what I drove here in, and what I am now driving out in as well." And I went to my car, got in, and even though he was behind me I backed up and drove off while he was trying to get me to come back. What a jerk! I did have better luck at anbother place though, they even offered to let me test drive a standard (but still remarked on how surprised he was that i could not only keep it alive, but also shift "smoother than he had ever seen before" and even "signal, turn, and shift at the same time." #######? I can have road rage and shift too, I didn't think this was a big freaking deal. It's called driving.

I found a great repair place now that works with me and actually pays freaking attention to me as well. I used to work on cars with my dad and later with Xh and so I do actually have a clue what is happening. First repair place I found would just do the mental equivalent of patting me on the head when I'd say something like "My clutch is depressing and staying depressed, I think something is wrong with the hydrolics." They were like "you just said hydrolics" followed by "are you sure you're pressing the clutch? do you even have one?" Guess whose hydrolic clutch had sprung a leak? Sigh.

OMG! best car repair story that has happened to me yet-- cannot believe I forgot it-- I had this extra rim and went to put a tire on it to have a full-size spare. Turned out the rim was bent and so I just picked it up and took it home. This was April. In July, the same place called me and said they still had my tire. i was like no, I brought in a rim but you all said it was bent and that I couldn't get it done so I took it home. The girl actually said, "well, are you missing a tire from your car?"
