I wear a 14, sometimes a 16. In designer duds, I wear a 10. Didn't you ever wonder about all those rich women who look the same size as you (meaning anyone who is reading this) who insisted she wore 2 sizes smaller than you?

It would help if he media didn't begin to describe any woman who no longer fits into a size 2 dress size as "fat"

I spent a couple of years working upscale fashion retail (translate to yuppie overpriced clothes) and everyone on the floor constantly complained that we were shipped 4 each of the tiny sizes and only 1 or 2 of sizes 14 and 16. Why did we all complain? Because those sizes sold out the day they were put out and we spent the next month phoning around to different locations to try to find more. It made no sense whatsoever since the fashion retail statistics confirmed our own observations: the most common sizes sold were 12 and 14 and the next most common was 16.

That's why smart skinny women shop at warehouse clearance sales... those places are filled with sizes 2 to 6.

No offense, but can someone refer me to a clothing store that has bunch of size 2 or 4 ?? Most of them around where I live only offer size 6 as their smallest, I often have to go to junior section, but they don't have a more mature women style. I'm tiny and that's my real size, not an anorexic either...

It depends on the designer -- I doubt anyone larger than a size 8 is going to fit into Joseph or Marc Jacobs. Diesel Jeans probably not larger than a 10

I was astonished. A friend of mine in my grad school program did a paper on this - but it was pro-cutting and self mutilation websites...i was amazed...it's horrible.

there is some correlation with abuse or preceived abuse for anmo and cuuters....also, cutters are usually foremost boderline personality disorders,,,,

I don't think I have borderline personality disorder....
