But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Not to mention that very skinny women tend to be calcium-, iron-, and protein-deprived because the first foods to go are usually meats and dairy products. And medical research has proven that it is NOT healthy to be stick-thin as a woman, particularly as one approaches menopause. Obviously obesity isn't healthy either, but young girls need to understand that skinny DOES NOT EQUAL healthy.

Abby (U.S.) and Ewen (Scotland): We laughed. We cried. Our witness didn't speak English. Happily married (finally), 27 December 2006.

Latest news: Green card received 16 April 2007. USCIS-free until 3 January 2009! Eligible to naturalize 3 April 2010.

They very well may understand it, but I'm afraid many young girls aren't concerned about being healthy.

I've seen this stuff before and it seriously disturbs me

It would help if he media didn't begin to describe any woman who no longer fits into a size 2 dress size as "fat"

I spent a couple of years working upscale fashion retail (translate to yuppie overpriced clothes) and everyone on the floor constantly complained that we were shipped 4 each of the tiny sizes and only 1 or 2 of sizes 14 and 16. Why did we all complain? Because those sizes sold out the day they were put out and we spent the next month phoning around to different locations to try to find more. It made no sense whatsoever since the fashion retail statistics confirmed our own observations: the most common sizes sold were 12 and 14 and the next most common was 16.

That's why smart skinny women shop at warehouse clearance sales... those places are filled with sizes 2 to 6.

Yes, I always suspected as much. I also notice that a lot of couture/upscale brands often don't make clothes bigger than a size 10 or 12

:secret: Don't be fooled by that. If you are ever in a place where you can make a comparison try-on, try a designer size... It ain't what you think it is. The pricier the designer, the bigger the size difference between their clothes and mass market clothing.

Yep. I bought a Tocca dress earlier this year and went up two sizes.
