We have had our share of lawyer problems. They delayed things for about a month and we put a lot of time into following up on our petition, NOA1 etc.

Since my SO has an extremely busy work schedule we decided to get a lawyer involved, even though I wish we hadn't. Guess you're always smarter after you've made a mistake. We chose our lawyer based on his reputation was is extremely good. Apparently, however, they had one of the slowest and most unorganized paralegals assigned to our case. We are planning to schedule an appointment with our lawyer directly for when I go to the US next month.

We've decided to make a final decision after our/my visa is approved. Till then it's all about patience and keeping our paralegal on her toes. Hard work!!!!!

Good luck!!! Hope everything works out alright for you!!

Best of luck to you, too!

I was very angry because we recently received an RFE that I think could have been avoided. But I'm over it now. I'm doing the documents myself and mailing them myself. In the long run, I think it may be a good idea for us to keep our lawyer around in case there is a problem at the consulate or the interview. It is like you said, about patience. God help us.

Good luck!!

I'm sorry that you got an RFE. I can only imagine how bad of a day that must have been. But I'm sure that from now on everything will go smooth!!!!

And yes, patience, patience, patience...
