I would love to attend a caucus - unfortunately this year I simply haven't been able to completely throw support one way or another. I have favorites though. I guess that something.

That's the thing with this democracy thing, they make you pick. I'd love it if the option existed for "anyone but x" :P

I'm so glad that the enlightened people of Iowa get to essentially pick who the rest of us can vote for later. If someone doesn't do well in Iowa, they tend to drop out.

Am I the only one who thinks that our election methods are completely archaic and fundamentally stupid?

Aye.... anyone but Hillary.

Hell, I'd almost vote for Paris Hilton or Rosie O'Donnell before I'd vote for Hillary.....

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I think there is value in forcing candidates to engage in some 'house to house' politicking. I question if that should happen in Iowa. I'd much rather see it done in a coastal state, which is where most of the people are.

Schneider: Entrance polls show tight races on both sides

Posted: 08:33 PM ET

(CNN)– The first wave of our entrance polling is showing us what we expected in both fields. Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee are in a tight race on the GOP side and Hillary Clinton is holding a narrow edge over Barack Obama and John Edwards on the Democratic side. These are just entrance polls, however, and the numbers are extremely fluid.

the 9% in data is actual precinct returns, I believe. Not polling.

G - my point was, it's too early to tell diddly!

This is more important:

(CNN) — The early waves of entrance polling are indicating that close to 60 percent of Democratic caucus goers are women. Like the Republicans, a third are over the age of 65, and 80 percent are over the age of 45. They rank the war in Iraq as their top issue of concern, followed closely by the economy and healthcare. Two -thirds decided on their candidate over a month ago.
