Hello

I have filed for my Advance Parole concurrently with my I-130 application in October 2007. I need to travel out of the country in February 2008. I called regarding the approval of my AP and they said that they are running 30-45 days behind. So I won't hear anything till the end of January going into February. Is there something I can do to expedite my process for the travel approval??

Please help...

Thank you in advance for the responses...

Not unless it's an emergency. (As in life or death.)

Exactly. If it's an emergency go to your local office with an Infopass appointment and provide a letter from a doctor stating your presence is absolutely required and why, or provide a death certificate. Life and death only, they are pretty strict on emergency AP.

Well it is sort off...my Grandmother is 90 years old and not in the best health at this time...no particular illness but just old age and a weak immune system...So I can't turn in massive Doctor's reports, but maybe a letter from our Family physician. Would that suffice USCIS for consideration??

A letter from the attending physician will help. But it honestly depends on the officer who reviews your case. I've read where some have been completely inhumane (telling them to come back when there's a death certificate), whereas others have been wonderfully understanding (as in my case). The only sure way to not receive it is if you don't try. Good luck.
