Got email that I-130 was approved...what happens to I-129F? oh well..joy,joy,joy,joy.

This is the most tormenting journey I've ever had to endour. Seeing my husbands smiling face in the end keeps me going.

I really appreciate the encouraging words from such wonderful people.

Just out of curiosity...why did you send your I-130 and I-129f to two different places?

Who all filed their i-129f in August. My NOA1 date is August 13. I was hoping to get an approval by now. I know ther are others that filed earlier that has not been approved, but I'm really starting (just starting) to get impatient. I've been watching the approval dates since the begining of Dec an we have only had 1 approval since the 14th of December. Where are our approvals??? I know its probably slow for the holidays, but come one. UGGGG Anyway, just wanted to see how all of our other August filers are doing.

PS I haven't even gotting a touch yet!!! :(

I think you are only going to suffer if you start to antecipate your approval so early.

Don't forget that between june and august, over 2.5 million applications were sent.

They have only started to approve july filers now. That meals they have to go through this gigantic pile of applications to get to ours.

Keep it chill. Busy yourself with work and friends and try not to get so impatient just now.

I think we're still in for a good couple of months

You know its so difficult to keep yourself busy, no matter what the situation is, at least for me I find that when I try not to think about it I am more unproductive . I think that if there was not the six month myth (you know what I am talking about) of approval time then the waiting would be different, wow imagine that one :o or maybe since I am pregnant I just wish my husband was closer to me then a web cam. What ever the reason is I just hope approvals for us August filers from CSC are coming in soon during February. I hate to say how much my proposed approval from VJ has gone from the end January past February and now at March

weird, mine moved from march to february... woo :P

i know it is difficult, but I just set my mind on the worst case scenarions and I'm occupying myself now with making a lot of money so that when I get to join m husband we can go buy a house.

If the approval comes soon, then YAY, if not, I am not going to waste this sacrificial days being sorry for myself

I also stopped replying when people ask me "how's the visa thing going?"... it was making me tired and upset.... so now if I like the person i reply with "no news", if i don't like them I reply with "####### do you care?"

:P

I can relate to everyone here.... our I129F application was received August 13th and the receipt notice was sent to us on September 24. Lately, there's been so much bad news (NY Times, CNN) about the spike in applications and backlog - I thought we were doomed until late this year.

So I contacted my congressman's office a week and a half ago. I remembered a friend telling me they helped when her daughter's green card was delayed. An immigration attorney also told me a letter to my Rep might help. Turns out they have an immigration specialist at the congressman's office. She was very helpful, writing and calling her contact at USCIS to discuss my case.

She told me she would be following up with them yesterday. And this morning, low & behold, we got the good news - an email saying it was approved and on its way to NVC! Maybe it was a coincidence that my congressman's office had just contacted them, maybe not. But I'm glad I called them. It's worth a try.

P.S. here's the Times article I mentioned:
