I-134 Form

Not clear on what to do with Item 11 on the I-134 form. I'm filing the K-3 for my wife so what should I do with this question? I'm thinking maybe i answer N/A but not sure.

I'd love to see a sample filled-out 134 form or get some guidance.

Look at the K-1 example and do the same except you would put K-3 instead of K-1

I-134 question 11 is asked about all the time in the forums.

I-134 is used for many different types of NON-Immigrant visas, like work visas, and student visas, a sponsor can indicate amount and length of time they will sponsor a person in work, and student cases, the question does not apply to K-Visas due to the immigrant intent of the K-Visas.

Don't bother checking anything, and indicate on note lines "N/A ( K1 or K3 visa process for permanent residence )"

One thing about I-134, the directions included with I-134 are very old, USCIS has no reason to update them since USCIS has no application for that form.

The consulates tend to treat the I-134 like a mini-I-864 as so prefer the same financial evidence as the I-864.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

• I-134 signed and notarized.

• SIMPLE Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

• Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years (Not necessary if you provide the transcripts)

• Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.

• Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

My income was well above the povertyline so I did not include any asset data (LIKE BANK STATEMENTS or property values).

If your income exceeds 125% of the povertyline when counting yourself, prospective immigrant and any dependents, then don't bother with assets (401K, Bank balance, Stocks etc..), it is just extra un-needed data to provide, the consular officer is most concerned with INCOME.

It's odd but when I click on the example form link Quicktime opens up a blank 134 form...not one that's completed. I remember seeing actual filled out sample forms before. I wonder why I'm getting only blank pdfs?

Odd, works fine for me, you may want to download and install newest version of Adobe Reader from Adobe.
