JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (AP) -- A group of lions devoured a man at the game lodge where he worked, police said Thursday.

Samuel Boosen was attacked Tuesday after he entered an enclosure where about eight or nine lions were being kept, Superintendent Lesego Metsi said.

Two other men were outside the enclosure at the Aloe Ridge Lodge in the North West province when the animals attacked.

"Only his spine and skull remained," Metsi told the South African Press Association.

Boosen, 36, had been working at the lodge for about four years, Metsi said.

We were at a friend's cottage, once, and my son caught a fish. My friend, Albert, said "Watch this."..... he left the head and tail on, and just removed the fillets. When all that was left was the head, tail, and spine, you could see the fish still moving. Then he said "There. It doesn't get any fresher than that." It still freaks me out.
