Do you guys use a tagine over an open flame? has anyone every used it on a fire? Seems like if you had a clay one you would want to put a grill down maybe?

I'm thinking about building a taboun. Ammar said they gave their taboun to their aunt down the road.

I got a KS license plate! Manatee tag will be retired ... a greencard would be nice though, sometime in 2008.

thanks for the add, julianna, but i definitely won't be trying to get pregnant anytime soon!!!

had a great start to our diet yesterday. made the recipe i posted in the other thread and my husband liked it a lot! i used tilapia fish though. the supermarkets around here have the most boring selection of fish! i also made some fingerling potatoes tossed in a drop of evoo, cumin, parsley, and salt. no desserts!!!

If you are counting calories, a good dessert is 1 chocolate grahm cracker (broken in half) with a few spoons of fat-free or low fat whipped cream (the frozen kind).... put it back in the freezer for a bit, then eat

Suprisingly good and I used to just keep a few in ziploc bags in the freezer for those sugar cravings

bison are so cute and shaggy. from a distance. up close they're kinda scary.

we have about a dozen up here by the fed pen. sometimes they will be right next to the fence.

It is very private indeed. Some on this board share, and others choose not to. That does not constitute a lack of sense of humor. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

It's both! You cook the tagine in the tagine.

It's both! You cook in a tagine and you also eat out of it. You can make so many dishes in a tagine... and they're not always stews. My favorite tagine is grated tomatoes, onions, garlic and spices with small ground beef balls. Right before it's time to serve you crack eggs on top so it's served with fried eggs. Man is that good with bread!

I didn't see it that way (i thought of it as kidding), but since i mentioned sparrow, i'm truely sorry if i offended her. And everyone is entitled to their privacy and respect, so I'll step down on this one , and say I'm sorry.
