My husband worries a little about the income requirement for the affidavit of support form because his income for the past two years is very low because he was not working the whole year for the past two years because of health reasons. But the year 2007, his annual income is fine. Does his income for the past two years affect? Do we need to get a co sponsor just because of a low income in the past two years? Thanks a lot.

Don't worry about the income of past years. The income of present year does matter. So you would be fine.

It will be up to Immigration as to what they require. It would be wise to file this year's taxes so that return and W-2 can be sent along with recent paycheck stubs and if possible a letter from his employer.

hello everyone!

@oranges, the year2007 will be fine, so dont worry girl..

@everyone, we did submitted the AOS already to NVC, and already case complete too. Just waiting here for my medical result, and i'llbe given a new interview sched i was rescheduled due to medical). Upon submission of AOS, husband didnt make a copy of what he submitted.

my question is, Do we still need to have or present a copy on the interview at USEM? or it is okay not to have it (for i dont really have it) because we are already through with the AOS thingy at NVC?

thanks for nay input on this.. confusing for me..

From what I've seen, the embassy has started to ask more regularly for updates on financial information (at least the Montreal embassy). It doesn't hurt to have an updated copy of a letter from your employer, a recent pay stub and assets statements ready to present to the embassy officer during your interview.
