Wow I can't believe I haven't posted on this thread yet..... Dave is so sweet that I have so many stories to tell.

-I always act like a 13 year old girl when he says I'm his girl or when he calls me baby girl :P For some reason that just makes me feel silly inside and blush!

-We always say that we love each other, but sometimes when he says it he uses this different tone and it makes me feel like it came straight from his heart!

-He always says I'm beautiful, and it's amazing that he's so good at it that he actually makes me believe he thinks I'm the best!

-He lets me know he loves spending time with me.... he comes home every single night after work just to talk to me and when I call him at work, you should hear how happy he sounds! It makes me feel so loved!

- On our 6 month anniversary, he wrote 180 reasons (1 for every day) why he loved me. That meant SO much to me and still does, I read it often.... and I know he still remembers all of them too as he mentions them from time to time. And one time he said he could still come up with one more reason for each day we've been together since then! :luv:

We were at the hotel when he gave me that letter, and I was reading the list when I saw that he had written "Check the middle drawer".... so I did.... and I found these beautiful flowers that he had stolen from the garden..... :luv::luv::luv:

this is a tribute to my future husband, David.....

My man David is a giant among men. He lives and breathes for us....and has worked tirelessly & endlessly for this next step. While I have dragged my feet & not wanted to talk about 'The Future', he has been there for me, waiting patiently for me. And when we've come into problems that would have been avoided had I gotten off my ### sooner, he shrugs it off and tells me it's ok.

He is leaving his country for me, his family, the pub quiz, season-ticket footy matches, and everything else. All for me. He said to me tonite...anyone who stands in our way is merely a roadblock and I will move past them. He also told me 'I committed my life to you years ago, and nothing will change that...I will die by your side'

I could go on and on and on and on...but man, my life is merely treading water until he gets here. Without him, I am incomplete.

This is what my Joel is doing for me. This is what makes him priceless in my eyes...and yes Lisa, I know what you mean when you say you are incomplete without him. When I do not have Joel by my side, I merely exist. If not for my daughter to constantly remind me that "Joel loves us mommy, right?" I would be useless. I am devoted and committed to my beloved....until I breathe my last. (L)

awww now I have so many memories rushing through my head. But my two all time favorites.

the first time Alex ever came to visit us (myself and my daughter) and azzy had fallen asleep, we sat on the couch in my "apartment" translating Indochine songs. He would make me read them in french, then he woudl translate. When we got to "Tes Yeux Noirs" (we were using the Nuit Intimes album) I started reading the first lines but needed the song to say everyting correctly, so he started singing the song and translating, and by the third line he looked at me and said "don't make me o this, I'll cry to leave you" and actually teared up.

and my other favorite thing that makes me love him every day isn't even for me, it's for my daughter. Every time I get to hear him say "I love you azzymuffin" it makes my heart stop.

and now I'm crying lol. JOY. I love this thread.

I had not been able to use my webcam for a while - a few months I think it was; during that period of time I had bronchial asthma twice and had put on a lot of weight due to the steroids I had been prescribed. The day that I was finally able to use the webcam I was nervous - when I switched it on there was silence - during which time I was convinced that I looked awful and he was repulsed - when he finally spoke he said "How did someone like me ever manage to find someone as beautiful as you?" Ahhhhhhhh well I had tears in my eyes as a result!!! :luv:

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007
