no when i said to the court it's just to have adresses of certified translators that's it. of course he could ask somwhere else, or just call 160 .there is nothing to do in the courthouse at all .

Be sure and have more than one copy of your birth certificate translated, you will need it for your AOS paperwork. If you don't, you can get it from the Moroccan Embassy in New York for $11 and they are really quick at getting it back to you. In Columbus they wanted $175 to translate it. My husband and I had fiance rings too and he had the celibacy certificate but he said they didn't look at it but better to be prepared just in case. Good Luck!

8/13/05 AOS and EAD paperwork mailed

8/25/05 NOAs in the mail!!! Yea!

01/26/06 - AOS SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW AND HE GETS HIS FIRST JOB AT FIRST JOB INTERVIEW

Can some please explain this celibacy certificate to me, I have never heard of it and do I need one and what is it? Thanks!!

The celibacy certificate is something your SO would get. It basically is just a certified piece of paper stating that they are not and/or never been married. It is not required, some just like to have it.
