Hello all,

This is my first post; hopefully you can help me out. I just received the G-325a's my wife filled out and was planning to actually start submitting paperwork. I read posts suggesting that submitting the I130 package and the I129F package together was acceptable and would cut some time out of the process. Now just recently I have seen posts about the new rules of submitting the I130 packages to Chicago instead of whichever processing center you would have before. I just wanted to know if sending them both together was still a good idea now with I130 having to go to Chicago now? I'm hopping to get my wife here with me as soon as possible and would appreciate any help all of you can provide.

Thank you in advance

Tony

I can see no reason why it would not be ok to file them together but we don't have reports of success doing so through the lockbox yet.

Thanks for the quick reply :).

Now if can pose a what if to you. Do you think if after filling both packages and I recieve my NOA1 for the I130 back, I file another I129f, will it cause problems for us? I have a feeling that it would, I just wish I could cover my bases that way.

Thanks again.

I don't see any purpose in filing a second petition. Are you really sure you want a K3 visa anyway?

I have know idea. I just want to get my spouse here ASAP. I have reviewed the time lines and I think I have an understanding of the difference. The K3 must apply for green card within two years of arriving into the US as the CR1, you get the green card right away.
