We were married in August and we sent the I-130 to vermont.

I just got the I-797C which has a received date of August 27, 2007 and a Notice Date of December 27, 2007

It has been so long that I can't even remember what I am supposed to do next.

It seems that my receipt number has not yet been registered yet.

The USCIS says they are working on I-130's from June 6, 2007. I suppose that means I have another 4 months before I hear anything at all from them.

What should I do now?

I am going to file the I-129F tonight.

Should I be concerned that the Receipt number is not in the system yet?

Thanks for your help

I would just hang tight to the I-130 and wait it out, the I-130 WITHOUT I-129F results in the superior CR-1 or IR-1 visa wich will get you a green-card upon entry.

Why hassle with USCIS with additional filing of I-129F, and later filing I-485 and I-765 to adjust status to get green-card and work authorization? AOS from K-3 costs $1010, and EAD can take 90 days or more to get.

Compare CR-1/IR-1 and K-3 timelines for your country, they are not much different.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
