My wife's kids had to have all their vaccinations from St Luke Hosp in Manila before they could go to the interview. What I know is that here in the States kids are required to get a certain form from the health department before they can be enrolled. Will we also need to get this form, or is their St Luke records sufficient?

My stepdaughter came over on a K2 from Thailand, and we needed her vaccination record to enroll her in public school here in NC. Because the immigration officer kept her medical records at JFK on her arrival (bummer because my wife got to keep hers), we had to request a copy from Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok. Fortunately, Bumrungrad is a great hospital, and they quickly emailed me a .pdf copy of the original vaccination supplement. You'll need the vaccination supplement for AOS too.

When I enrolled my son here in NC they accepted the vaccination record in his "baby book" for enrollment. They just required him to have one additional shot because it was administered too early compared to US standards (I forgot which shot it was).

We went to a pediatrician and asked for the school forms. In order to complete them, he asked for any type of proof re: vaccination that we might have from our country. We gave the copy from the medical exam before coming here, and also the "baby book", and he took both into consideration.

Later on, when I went to a civil surgeon for the vaccination supplement for AOS, he offered to make both of us, me and my daughter, the yellow card of vaccination, which of course we accepted (in the same price which was 30 $ or so).

If you take their yellow vacine cards, the school will tell you if they are missing anything. Some vaccines will have to be done before they start school, if they haven't had them yet, others they can do after.

The longer it takes to introduce yourself the less you've actually accomplished
