I'm so prouda us gals!

I was surfing around youtube the other night and came accross a womana who was my age, 5'3", and 300lbs. She had the gastric bypass surgery done and lost over 100lbs in 6 months. I have considered doing this but as of right now this diet is working well, i'm not starving, and my body is tightening up as I lose. If I end up falling completely off and not able to get completely back on the bandwagon, I'll talk to the doc about GBP

And Jenn-- wow! 4 miles? and like an almost 8 minute mile? Dude, that is something I could never do.

I would have said the same thing a few months ago! Anything is possible! *cue Flashdance music again*

One thing I've noticed is that I've pretty much stopped paying attention to my diet, just eating when I'm hungry and still having sweets etc. when I feel like it. And I'm continuing to lose weight. I'm thinking that eventually I'll just reach a stable weight as my body gets used to the exercise? Otherwise I'm not quite sure what to do once I reach my goal (not far now!).

If you continued to lose beyond your goal (or I should say beyond what is healthy as I am not sure how thin your goal is on you) then you just have to up your caloric intake is all. You'll be like all pie all the time! lol! Ammar is having to do that. The cake is for him-- he just has to not only eat regularly but just plain get extra calories because he is losing too much. Of course cake, etc shouldn't ever replace good food :) But you'll no longer have to be concerned about cheese or anything.

I just got done. i decided to go on to week 2 of couch to 5k.

I hope you saved some before pics so you cna look at them next to your after pics!

Well at my goal weight, I'll be a size 8, so nothing overly skinny, for sure, but perfect for my height and body type IMO.

Yes, I guess I'd rather up the calories than decrease the exercise. So pies, here I come!

Hey Gals ~ I am in Morocco right now and hope I am not gaining back all the weight I lost :o The family is very respectful when I decline the hobbs and late night eating, they were very happy to see my weight loss since my last visit! Of course I am indulging in some of my Moroccan favorites, and my husband is very supportive

Yeah, IMO it may be better to continue the good exercise than not.. and then jsut descrease calories if you decrease exercise. That just because, though, it's harder for me to get into an exercise routine than to cut back eating.

I can't quite figure my body out...The very first place I gain is my butt. But do I lose it there first?! HECK NO!!! Always the chest. Can someone explain this?? I don't mind some "junk in the trunk" but come on now...

Good job, Noura!

I managed 18' flat for 2 miles today. Am still working toward the 9' mile pace for my 3 mile run, maybe I'll try that one tomorrow. On Friday I'm going to do an 8' mile if it kills me! (well not really)
