They took the ephedra out of Metabolife :( Try Hoodia57

I just compared the back of both bottles and it's the same thing.... I guess they just revamed the bottle design.

Jackie, isn't ephedra dangerous?

i'm doing yard work today. mostly tree trimming this morning and then mowing after the grass dries out.

ya'll are welcome to come get a workout outside

Whenever I think about buying a house I remember you and your posts on doing yard work every weekend and I say to myself feeegetaboutit.

:protest: just think of all the work you can do

just now back in from mowing about half the yard, trimmed some trees and hauled them to the burn pile. overall, about 6 hours outside. now i got a sunburn :P

It's ok. (((hugs)))

Bought a stopwatch! Now all I have to do is put on the clothes and shoes and step out of the door. Why is this so hard ?

Week 1 Day 1: went and did it. I have legs of lead. Had to ice shins. Note to self: Drink more water daily. My mouth smacks of dehydration.

You did it? I'm gonna do it in about an hour. How did it feel? I want details!

Ok I put on my new shoes that I haven't worn but bought about 2 yrs ago just for this running program. Then I went to a parking lot near the greenbelt. I got out, streched, and started the brisk walk for 5 mins. Then turned my MP3 to Madonna's "Ray of Light" song putting it on repeat and started the 20 min. walk run portion of the training. During that time my shins began to ache, my legs felt like lead, my body flopped in this jiggly fat suit I've been wearing for that last 5 yrs. I thought I was always skinny before this what the hell happened? Why did I get fat? I was so angry! So pissed off at how I let myself go and get like this. I was talking to myself pretty determined to keep going. That the nine weeks will pass quickly. That I had to lose this weight to look hot for my graduation pix. I started coming up with motivations like healthy xxx life, needed to look camera ready for the Borah Symposium next April, ect..

Then before I knew it the time was up. The last run walk was the hardest but I told myself it was one more. Afterwards I felt a sense of achievement for completing the first day. Starting is the hardest thing to do. I felt you just have to do it. Then I laughed to myself because I get where nike got their slogan "Just Do It."

Ok, it's dark now. I can do it. I tried earlier but I didn't want my neighbors to see me get to the corner and collapse. So...shoes are on..stopwatch is in hand and I am out the door!

eta: I'm back. omg. I didn't do 8 sets. I did the walk, then I made it thru 3 times of running, then walked/moaned my way home. I am so out of shape it is not funny. I am getting back out there tommorrow and doing it again. Thx Olivia for doing this with me :)

BTW, was this speech run concurrently with inspirational music, you staring into the distance, and some flag salutation? :)

No, but it featured some inspirational dance accompaniment from Jennifer Beals to "What a Feeling".

Sweet!! I love it.

I haven't done anything today. I got up at 7.50pm, then went out into the livingroom and cleaned, had dinner (breakfast?) and cleaned the bookshelf. Ammar cleaned in the kitchen and did the cooking, actually. Also put away the laundry. Watched the pixar short films and then got ready for work. So, now I'm at work. I think when I get to the part where I don't see anyone anymroe, I'll do some abs and legs stuff in the back office.

Hey, where's my running buddy, Olivia? I am doing it again today. I know it says 3 times a week, but I have some lost time to make up for. And today, I will go a little before dark, I realized I don't have to hide in the cover of night to run. silly me.

Yay Jackie (& Olivia)!!! Jax, you know, most people aren't even going to notice you  and even if they do, you know what I always think when I see someone overweight jogging/walking? Damn! At least they're doing something about it, which at this point, is more than I'm doing! Go girl!!!

FYI, it *doesn't* cool off at night. Our "low" tonight is about 75 (which isn't too bad, I guess). It's just so humid & muggy. Bleh!

Ha! I was going to say that-- that you don't cool off at night. Here we somewhat do but half the nights-- no.

I just spent 12 hours moving my friend from their 3 story apartment to their 2 story apartment. I am exhausted and they are still not completely moved.
