Ok so I made this cheery/orange/rasberry/stawberry fruit salad this morning and I really really really really want something super sugary sweet like a chocolate rasberry brownie, or donuts, or a delicious buttery and sweet pastrey! Help how do you overcome the craving?

For chocolate cravings, I keep fudgsicles around. Only 60 calories, but sometimes I have to eat 2!

How'd everyone do over the weekend?

I was going to go running since I skipped my workout on Friday, but it was so hot I couldn't summon the strength (I'm a real baby when it comes to heat tolerance).

I think fruity refreshing cocktails are going to be my downfall in my weight loss goals during the summer months!

Yesterday I fell off the wagon and had an ice cream. I was having a major sugar craving. But today I am back on. My cousin is watching her sisters kids this week while her sisters husband's is donating a kidney to his brother. This is all going down in our neighboring state of Washington. So I don't have my walking buddy this week. But I do have my work out buddy and we're set for 3:30pm today.

fruit cocktail as in fruit or fruity cocktails as in happy hour? right now I am contemplating if one can live off of grapes an 7up and entire summer. The grapes right now are just so dang goooooood!

LOL, yes as in alcohol, not fruit! I had 2 margaritas yesterday, but I think that's ok because I'm sure they just evaporated through my skin instantaneously.

lol. my running instructor once told me the best thing to do after a night of drinking to to run it off the next day. it all comes out in your sweat.

there is also that drinking club with a running problem called the hash hound harriers or something like that. there might be a local branch in your region. they seem to be all over the world.

I hate when people talk to me at the gym. Um, I'm kind of in the middle of something here! :bonk:

Ppl don't talk to me at the gym unless it's someone I know. Like my friend I go with or her friend that meets us there. Do strangers talk to you at the gym?

My workplace has a gym, so I go there at lunch. So they're not really strangers, and I can't just tell them to leave me alone!

I guess it's not that big of a deal, it doesn't happen that often. Most people are in the same boat and want to get their workout in because they're on their lunchbreak too!

Some people are just working out at such low intensity, I doubt it elevates their heart rate at all, so they have no trouble gabbing away!

I wonder if my workout is intense enough. My heart rate gets to over 160 for an hour but for some reason I don't have sweat pouring off me like some of the others at the gym. I generally don't talk during this because I don't have the breath though.

It is all about the heart rate. Sweating profusely (sp) isn't necessarily better if ur heart rate isn't up. I tihnk ur doing just fine.

Jenn!. pop a coupla ipod earphones in ur ears and when they try to talk to u..just point to ur ears and shake ur head.. lol they don't have to know ur not listening to anything...

Have I ever admitted my love affair with those fudgecicles? OMG they are HEAVENLY!!! I also bought some strawberries today that will give the fudgecicles a run for their money. These strawberries were sooooooooo good, I almost had to excuse myself (and the berries) so we could be alone...
