my husband has discovered Ben n Jerry's NY Super Fudge Chunk ice cream.

When my husband discovered Ben n Jerry's (or when I told him how good it was and he had to try it)... it was alllll over. We were buying pints left and right. So that is how I got to the cow I am today~!

Thank you Ben, Jerry, and Haagen Daaz!

I've never had Ben and Jerry's icecream. I have specifically managed to avoid this and Haagen Daaz. Did you get your thing converted?

I changed my turtle to a choo choo train. I think it will bring me good luck.

I usually keep fudgsicles at home because they're only 60 calories and good to satisfy a chocolate craving. And I just discovered that they make them in dark chocolate and white chocolate too and they are so yummy. Anyway, I'm probably just the last to know this, but I thought I'd share. :energy:

Awesome! you lost 3 more pounds! So the plateau is through?

Thanks!

Naw, I hadn't weighed myself in about 3 weeks I think. I don't think it's a plateau really, just that I'm losing very slowly. Which is what I said I wanted from the beginning (in order to make it easier to maintain once I reach my goal), it's just harder to swallow when you're in the midst of it and you want some gratification.

I just counted and I've been serious about this for about 11 weeks now, so my weight loss is pretty much on track. It doesn't feel like it though....it feels soooo slooooow....

Well, that's good then.. about a pound a week. If I remember correctly, you also said you had lost a lot of inches and were at a smaller size than your weight had you at previously, so that's great. I know once you start toning and tightening up, every pound you actually lose can look like 2-3.

how's everyone's exercise doing? I can't wait to get back into a routine after my surgery!

I just switched my routine to 3 days of 1 hour cardio and 2 days of 1 hour strength training. We'll see how that goes instead of mixing them both each day like I was doing before.

I think I'm past that initial part of hating exercise, which I'm very happy about. Before, when thinking about trying to lose some weight, I could always handle the food part, but dreaded the exercise part. Now I'm finding the food aspect to be much more difficult than the exercise.

I want to start exercising again/eating better. It's so hard. But its so important diabetes, heart disease, etc.. Can come out of not eating in moderation. Cardio sounds really good. What does everyone think about working out together with their spouses? Not alone in a room...that doesn't work only leads to flirting pushing up ON U lol  At a public gym or something? Does anybody workout with their spouse?? Or think about it?

I am still combining cardio and strength training mostly due to time restraints. I do that combo 3x weekly and on off days do my Pilate's tapes or walk outside. I also take Belly Dance classes 2x weekly, and those are so fun, it hardly feels like exercise (it's worked magic on my core!) It's important to get some variety !

Yesterday a neighborhood pizza place, which I love was delivering free pizzas to all the nearby offices at lunchtime. I did indulge in a few slices, their BBQ chicken pizza is awesome

Nothing wrong with indulging once in a while! If I tried to cut out everything I love to eat, I'd have been done with this thread months ago.

My muscles are sore today.

Very true! I enjoy these occasional indulgences more, really savor the flavors, and am satisfied with smaller amounts now
