We just bought a new juicer, so lots of juicing/detoxing in the plan for 2009. Also, in February, I'm moving my office into the personal fitness training center next door - I have no excuse not to work out. I've signed up & committed to an intensive drills class related to dance once a week. Gotta lose this weight!

umm...its almost the first of the year....I have lost the wagon and it is nowhere in sight. I am looking for it though. HOpefully it will come rolling by soon and I can hop right on ensha'allah. May God give me the willpower, strength, and endurance to get myself to a more healthy weight so that I may live a long, healthy life to spend thanking him for my existance and taking care of all of his creations. *sigh*

doing Weight Watchers on line and Alli (yep) the good news is Alli isn't so bad if you've already cut out fat from your diet so none of those weird side effects.

make sure you are taking your multivitamin with the alli - alli can rob you of vitamins but eating healthy and taking the multi will make sure you have enough.

im on task also - i was around 150 and now I am down to 147. i am hoping to be down to 140 for vacation in march plus very toned.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share my experience with you. I think what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. But, about four years ago I went on the Atkins diet after struggling with my weight most of my life (though managed to stay slim enough most of the time through making myself miserable). I was tired of low fat (didn't work), starving (didn't work) and endless exercise (didn't work). I had gained quite a bit of weight at that time (because I had gotten tired of being hungry all the time), but didn't really realize it until one day someone thought I was pregnant! :-O Well that was the wake up call for me. I had a couple of friends who swore by the Atkins diet. I thought Atkins was a nut case. :-P But, I was so desperate by that point, I didn't care. I figured I'd try the first two weeks and see what would happened. Lo and behold, I lost FIVE pounds that first two weeks! Granted, the diet is pure hell at first because you are giving up anything sweet or with lots of carbs. And I was very addicted to that and not realizing it. But having lost that weight motivated me to stick to the diet. I was very strict with myself, and didn't even have gum or a hard candy, as it says in the diet. However, I am a chocoholic, so I did allow myself one Hershey's miniature a day. LOL. OK, well, long story short, I lost 30 pounds in one year. The thing that works for me in the Atkins diet is that I don't go hungry. If I'm not hungry, I can usually say no to the bad stuff. So now when I see that I've gained five pounds (because I've been giving in to the sweets or pasta), I go back on my strict diet and I usually lose it in a couple of weeks. I have kept this weight off for three years and it has not been the great struggle it once was, but at least now I know what makes me gain weight. Anyway, if hunger is your problem to keeping slim, I recommend this diet. If you have any questions, just let me know.
