I might join ya, Bridget. But as of today I hearby announce I am now logging in all of my calories for the day. I eat healthy, but I think I'm overeating by not measuring things exactly. And I want to lose weight faster than I have been.

Logging here I come~!

I can't start today because I have leftover lamb and apple pie in the fridge. BUT....come Monday I'm there!!!! I'm going to start slowly today though by doing little things like drinking a LOT of water and walking every night for about 20 minutes.

water is key. Do you like flax seeds at all? They're a good source of omega-3's among other things. I buy the roasted golden flax seeds at Trader Joe's, grind them up (don't use them whole or they won't be digested), and put a tablespoon in a glass of water every morning. Of course you could put it on your cereal, on salad, or in other food, but this way I always remember to do it. And I love the taste!

I also always drink a bunch before I eat so I feel fuller.

No but I eat flatbread with flaxseed in it. My rheumatologist actually put me on meds one time that was based from flaxseed but I wasn't able to take it because it messed my digestive system up something fierce!

 where'd everyone go?

I've basically been eating very low fat trying to stick to under 20g of fat per day and so far have lost some weight but not sure if it's just weight lost from having had surgery or not.

Am meeting with a nutritionalist because I need a foodplan that is 1) lowfat, 2) low calorie and 3) low in sodium. I'm serious...just shoot me and get it over with already. :crying:

I know that feeling :( Deprive me of food and its all over.

I've been on my gym plan now and sticking to it. 3 days a week at the gym and 2 days at home treadmill.

I know its bad but I have not gotten on a scale in months...don't want to know till I can visibly see and feel results...then I will look. LOL :P

You know i"ve been eating super lowfat since before my operation and the ONE thing I miss the most is your recipe with the chicken and onions!!! :crying::crying::crying::crying: If I could just find out how to make those onions without all the olive oil then there would once again be a reason to keep on keepin' on.

Your post reminded me of something. I'm trying to do Weight Watchers, again, the core plan. Last night, I was cooking some sliced onions in a little cooking oil spray with a little bit of chicken -- the onions were the main ingredient. My husband came in and suggested that I cook the onions until they carmelized and then add cinnamon to them. He also suggested a little sugar, but I told him sugar was out. So I did add just the cinnamon, and it was fantastic! No WW points either for just the onions and cinnamon. I know I'll get that oniony smell in my pores if I eat too much of that, but I love onions, and I usually have my office to myself anyway.

This morning was day 4 in a row at the gym. I undid a lot of earlier progress the last few months, but I'm back on it. My sister and I each want to lose 60 pounds before we (hopefully) go to Morocco next summer, so we're challenging each other.

I love the chicken and onion combo so much!! Woot Woot! My hubby being from Egypt had never tasted it before...he laughs everytime we meet someone from Jordan or Palestine and we start talking about food....immediately he will say THATS ANNIES ALL TIME FAVORITE! :P But he loves it now too!

There has to be a way...hmmm...might alter the taste a bit but I'm sure there is a way to use less or another type of oil that would be healthier.

See, I'm more like my hubby in that I can't stand sweet combined with dinner. He totally dislikes just about every moroccan dish aside from the chicken and french fries one that I make.

Usama hadn't ever tasted it before either but he does like it a LOT!! What's really hard now is he keeps asking me why I'm not cooking macaroni bechamel anymore. (it was like twice a week during ramadan...no wonder my gallbladder was full of stones! )

Getting him to understand that butter = bad for me is just really hard PLUS he's as thin as anything and so I really need to make him foods that will get him to GAIN weight.

I need to hop on the Diet and Exercise thread train. CHOO CHOO!!

I need a buddy or something. I got a lot to drop!

You know I need to start too. I actually was thinking about waiting until Thanksgiving though.

I LOOK LIKE I EAT MY HUBBY'S FOOD! He's so darn stinking skinny! The man weighs 144 lbs! I haven't seen that in a long time. I'm jealous!!
