You must count your spouse - so 2 - $17,113, as Lance mentioned.

The purpose of the affidavit of support is to prove that you can support yourself and your spouse (and children if you have any) - so you must include them.

hello frinds

i wan ask do u think it depend upone where when u file AOS

if husband or wife is living toghter and they will file AOS then they will count 1, Size of Family Unit

but if wife is living in usa alon and husband is living in other country and she filing AOS to bring him home ,at that point of time she will count count 1, Size of Family Unit

pls advise, this is my question ,

No, that is not correct. The family unit size would be 2.

It is in the instructions on the I-864 if you want to check it out.

How Do I Count Household Size?

Your household size includes yourself and the following individuals, no matter where they live: any spouse, any dependent children under the age of 21, any other dependents listed on your most recent Federal income tax return, all persons being sponsored in this affidavit of support, and any immigrants previously sponsored with a Form I-864 or FormI-864 EZ affidavit of support whom you are still obligated to support.

As you fill out the I-864 you will list the number of people being sponsored and the number of people presently in your household and then add the 2 together. The total can't be less than 2.
