But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Okay, so I sit at my desk today and wait for my cell phone to ring. The lady did say on Friday that she'd ring me next week to schedule our interview. Now I know they need me there (psst: I'm telling myself that) so I knew she'd call today. I held it until 4:30 and then I lost it. I called her. I know, I know. Don't wanna look desperate or nothing. And I am not. Honestly. But it is Florida, folks.

Surprisingly, she acted like she expected my call and we scheduled the interview for Wednesday afternoon after she apologized many times for the mess on Friday. It left me wondering, though, why she would have expected me to call her as I seem to remember pretty well that she said that she'd be in touch with me. Here I am thinking I am getting old again...

Then I get home and there's a message in my voice mail. Sure enough, she called me right after lunch to schedule the interview and dialed my home rather than my cell number. So, it ain't me getting old. :P

So, there I go. I am so not looking desperate.

I think this went pretty well today. Next contact is to be made next week. They talked about my coming down to meet with folks and talked a bunch of other stuff I don't think they'd tell a person they're not interested in. And I didn't talk to a recruiter but to the actual hiring manager and a prospective peer today.

So, yes, I am quite upbeat about this.
