:yes: Questions for ladies who know something of Royal Air Maroc...What is the limit on baggage that one will check in? ...I checked the Web-site and it tells me that it is two pieces of baggage weighting no more then 32kg each...can I interpret that as a total of 64 kg that are permitted per person...what happens if you only have one piece but it weights about 50kg...I am perplexed and Jamal is worried...I will call them tomorrow morning just to make sure but was wondering if anyone can explain me their logic...Thanks

Dorothy :unsure::unsure:

Dorothy this is the same logic that is used for all airlines. They won't allow you to combine the total weight allowed into one bag. Sometimes they are lenient and will let you slide, depending on the agent, sometimes they are mean and make you pay.

I would highly reccomend that he take two bags. I would also reccomend that you call the airline. Recently there was a change on most airlines baggage limitations. They dropped the weight down significantly. 32Kg was about 70lbs, now they are saying the limit is 50lbs. Double check with them to see if they have changed their policy. The other thing you should check, if he has a connecting flight on an airline in the USA, he will have to comply with their baggage requirements as well.

Dorothy,

JP's advice is good... I just flew Iberia (& Jet Blue). The weight limit had changed from just 6 months ago when I last flew there. It was 32 KG (abt 70 lbs) and is now 25 KG (abt 50 lbs). If there's a question abt it, I would play it safe and take 2 bags packed a little lighter for each one. I don't think you can combine weight in one bag.

I flew Jet Blue from New Orleans to JFK, then Iberia to Madrid and on to Casablanca. Iberia was wonderful, btw. RAM was good to me last time also, no complaints, but I've heard many others complain abt RAM. I have nothing but kudos for Iberia tho... they treated me like a VIP! :dance:

One time my bag weighed too much but the lady who weighed it saw that my tears were starting to form and so she let it slide.

But I think he should take 2 bags to be safe. You don't want to have to pay for extra weight if you can just spread it out into 2 bags. Good luck and congratulations! I bet you're excited!
