Happy New Year to everybody!

We are here on a list waiting for namecheck.Filed for AOS in April 2005, had interview in November 2005.Endless number of letters to congressmen and senators.Filed for case problem and sent a letter to Ombudsman with no result. Our case hasn't been touched since 06.03.2005 when I had the first fingerprint appointment. Two weeks ago got a notice for the second fingerprint appointment for I-485 because "my fingerprint card on file with USCIS has expired". I had it on December 26th.

Can you share your experience if something happens after that?

Well, getting the notification is a good sign. My AOS took a long time to process as well, so I ended up having to go and redo my fingerprints - they are only valid for 15 months - or is it 18 months . . . - anyway, I had done my first AOS fingerprints in August 2004, my second set in February 2006 and received my AOS in May 2006. I suspect you will hear something soon. Good luck.
