My iccle girl is going to get fixed on the 2nd. I'm so nervous for her  I have to leave her at the vet's all day!

Here's a few pics of her by her v own Christmas tree. Note the cat ornament. I meant to paint the cat as an exact replica of Mimi's face, but I never got around to it. LOL. But it's close enough......

Aww - I love it when they roll on their backs and reach a paw out as if daring to let you rub their tummies  Daisy loves her tummy being rubbed... when she is in the mood - otherwise beware!

She's a cutie. :)

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I sing 'if yer hungry and yanno it, say meow' she sits and waits for her turn, then meows once

we do the whole song. No word of a lie...ask Tmma, she's heard it a zillion times.

Hey guys...I'm scared sh!tless right now cos she's currently @ the vet's getting spayed. I dropped her off at 9:30...she was crying the whole car ride there. The vet assts are really great, loving, and warm....she was being cuddled as they brought her to the back.

I can't call until 1:30, and providing all goes well, I pick her up at 4:30. My stomach is in knots. I have to go to an appt, and I'm just not with it today. :(

Anyone have any reccos about that round funnel collar? They asked if I wanted one so she doesn't lick her stitches. I'd rather her not be put thru trauma or anything by having to wear it, but I don't want her to cause complications.

I've made the pool house up for her...she's got a rockin pad for when she comes home. Hopefully, she'll be comfortable there.

Pls send some prayers and/or mojo her way for a complication-free procedure!

if you keep her inside, you can go with the elizabethan collar, if she's outside i'd not recommend it. she'll be ok but expect her to throw up after surgery.

I would wait to see if the collar will even be necessary. When Bella got spayed, she didn't lick the spot at all.

I was a nervous wreck too, but everything went much smoother than I thought!

Hope it turned out ok Lisa.

When we had our baby fixed she stayed for overnight at the vet's. Since then she has developed a huge dislike for car rides. She'd be meowing and shedding fur like crazy all the way to the vet's. I hope Mimi's experience will be a lot better.

Ok peeps, here's the update.

Lemme preface this by saying that when I took her in on the 6th, I explained her situation insomuch as the whole stray situation. They scanned her, tested her for all sorts, and then the vet tech shaved her belly to see if she had a scar. In retrospect, the vet tech didn't shave her down enough. However, I've always thought it's weird that I've never seen her display any signs of being in heat, and she's never been pregnant.

So filling out the forms today, they asked if I wanted her to get a pain injection for when she left. I said yes, signed a zillion forms, and left her there.

They call me at 1 and tell me that Mimi was awake after the anesthesia, but that they shaved her down and found a spay scar!!!

So I went to get her, and I fig'd while I was there, I might as well have her chipped. She's all gooned up from the anesthesia AND the pain shot (that apparantly they gave her BEFORE surgery). The pool house was a no go, as she looks like the drunken hobo walking down the street.

She's a bit restless, but I put her back in her pet taxi w a blanket, and she's in the other room. All this for nothing! My poor little girl!

But THANK GOD she's ok and doesn't have to worry about a recouperation from surgery!
