I am filling out the I-130 and I have a question about number 21. It asks "give last address at which you lived together". Well we just got married. We haven't lived together yet. How do I answer this question?

I would put N/A

Oh, the question is quite applicable. The answer for address is "none" which then makes the from and to dates "N/A" and "N/A".

You might get away with the wrong answer but that's not the same as there being no wrong answer. It's a common discussion on these forums. N/A means you're saying the question is not applicable. This question is applicable, so the more correct answer for the address is "none". The none answer renders the details like the dates not applicable. There are a number of questions like this on the numerous forms you'll fill out. Some of the answers are more critical than others. So, the rule of thumb is that if the question is applicable but the answer is "none", use "none". If the question itself is not applicable, such as describing how you met your fiance, when using the I-129F for a spouse, then N/A or N/A Spouse is the best answer. Another example is "Father's name". If you or your loved one don't know the name or other vital statistic of your father, you do not answer N/A. You write "unknown". On affidavits of support, one is wiser to skip questions about assets (see instructions) than to write "none" as an answer to how much money you have in a savings account, particularly if that's an untrue answer. You skip the section entirely instead of indicating the questions are not applicable or the answers are none, even if the correct answer would be none.

One can except and follow or reject this advice once it is understood but arguing against it seems silly to me.
