Guys,

do you think that the K3 route is going to be significantly faster route, considering the months receipting delays with I130?

USCIS also mentioned that I130 delays will affect adjudicate. Few USCIS officers told me that K3 has been in process since August, and will definitely be within 6 months.

I know that after K3 route AOS cost $1010. but believe me that the plain tickets, visit, phone calls, etc... would cost me the same if the I130 turns out to be a loooooooong wait.

It depends on the country. In your case the CR1 is definitely faster for a spouse coming from N/A. From most other countries the K3 is a little faster.

Just kidding. Please fill in your profile. The answer does depend on the country.

LOL! :) N/A Country! Sure he'll get fast here with that one. Anyhow, it's Bosnia. The fact that K-3 was not backlogged for 4 months like I130 makes me believe that K3 will come along sooner. At one point(good times) when I130 approved at the same time with K3, so K3 was pointless . However, due to recent super extended delays with initiating the I130 process, which will affect adjudication, I believe that K3 might be a faster and better option for some of us.

K3 will be a faster option for some and better for a smaller number. However, the policy is still to process and approve the petitions together at the same service center with the goal of approving them at the same time. When that occurs, the I-130 is held and the couple is locked into the K3 process unless they want to pay some more fees and wait several months longer to get the I-130 moving again.

Remember USCIS is just the front end of the process, so "approval" doesn't mean "visa". The time savings for the K3 all comes after petition approval, not before.
