When completing the g-325A, in the first row there is a space for File Number, what is this referring to? Also, my husband is moroccan and has never had a visa to the US. how would he find his alien registration number?

I believe uscis gives it a file number after you send them the paper work.

Alien registration number will be given to him once this whole process is done and they are going to give him a visa(unless of course he has been to the US before), until then he doesn't have one.

Don't worry about either.

Any other insights on the File Number at the top of the page, the box as an 'A' in bold so i'm assuming this number should begin with A. however I don't have any file numbers since I have not yet submitted the I-130 and the G-325A is a required part of the I-130.

The number starting with "A" is alien registration number and would only apply to those who have been in the U.S. on a visa for work or study previously. Do as the others have advised and put "NONE" in the space.
