HI all,

I sent my I130(My wife) to Chicago Lockbox on Dec/12/2007 but I did not receive the NOA1 yet. My father has been sick now. I just want to expedite my case now? Do i need to wait for NOA1 first or do something?

Please give me a serious advice. Thank you and happy holiday. Good luck to all of you.

I'm really sorry to tell you that your parent's health will not be considered as a reason to expedite your petition. If the USC petitioner was seriously ill, they might expedite a visa for the foreign spouse to visit but not for immigration. For the petitioner's father, no chance really.

I sent my I-130, also for my wife, back in August and it took a month and a half before I got my NOA1. So, it wouldn't surprise me that you might wait more than a month before you'll receive NOA1, especially they are still processing NOA1 for Aug/Sep filers. I don't think I-130 can be expedite. It would be unfair for others by delaying one case just to do the other. Processing will be based on the receiving date on NOA1, except may be one form. Good luck on your visa journey.
